Abstract

Homogeneous soil is rarely found in nature. Most often, soil consists of layers with different properties. Pile foundations are used to transfer structural loads to solid soil layers. This article examines the dependence of the bearing capacity of pile foundations on the depth of embedment and the diameter of the pile in the case of two-layer soil.
