Student‘s Cadet Knowledge on Personal Oral Hygiene

The paper analyzes cadets' knowledge of personal oral hygiene before and after exercise in the forest. Oral hygiene is especially important during exercises and missions in the war zone. Poor oral hygiene can lead to dental and gum problems, which adversely affects cadet behavior during missions and exercises. The aim of this work was to investigate the cadets' knowledge of personal oral hygiene. Tasks: to find out the assessment of the cadets knowledge of their personal oral hygiene; identify the cadets most commonly used toothbrushes; to find out the most common teeth cleaning movements of the cadets studying at the Military Academy; to identify the changes in the cadets mouth condition before and after the exercise in the forest. The research revealed that the most cadets their knowledge of the personal oral hygiene evaluate by 8-7 points. Most often cadets use the soft and semi-hard toothbrushes. The most commonly cadets use tooth brushing movements are mixed and rotational.The cadets mouth condition before the exercise in the forest: daily bad breath from the mouth, changes in gum color, tooth sensitivity, and gum bleeding.The cadets mouth condition after the exercise in the forest: the oral health deteriorated(5% increase the bad breath from mouth and other abnormalities that have not occurred before exercise(dental plaque, stones, gum bleeding, tooth sensitivity, etc.).
